ZENIT 3M Russian SLR Camera With Industar-50

ZENIT 3M Russian SLR Camera  With Industar-50 Rm250

This camera was the succesor to the ill fated Kristall. The Kristall camera got a hinged back like all modern camera we know. Unfortunatly nobody liked the design of the Kristall which had hammered paint and ridges on the top of prism. Some people called it tractorlike. So Kristall stayed only in production for a year and then was replaced by the Zenit-3M. In comparing it to the Zenit-3, it is more modern. Hinged back instead of the bottomloader. It is smaller than the 3. But its specs are identical.

Soviet Leica Copy FED 3 RM250

The Fed-3 (a) is a new model which keeps the old body from the Fed-2. It has a new short base rangefinder assembly with a new shutter. The shutter already has slow speeds. The range finder cam now has its axis of rotation on the rewind side and diopter adjustment is made by rotating the view finder. The engraving is either the Single Cyrillic script " FED-3" or the dual engraving on export models with "MADE IN USSR" on the back.

Lubitel 166U Lomo before Lomography TLR

Rm320
Fully Working Condition

The Lubitel 166U was made by Lomo in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia. The Lubitel is the poor man's twin lens reflex camera. Being made of plastic, it is sometimes lumped into the toy camera category, but it does have a glass lens and other features like several apertures and shutter speeds. Despite the apparent ability to "control" this camera, I have to admit that this isn't my favorite machine. Although bright, the screen is really hard to focus. It has a ground circle in the center and a small magnifying glass to help with the task, but the results don't seem worth the effort. You are almost better off estimating the distance Holga-style. But all-in-all, it is capable of taking pretty sharp photos, and if you are willing to put up with its idiosyncrasies, it can be a nice little camera.
